I’m basically looking to make a phone case with 2-4 buttons on it that, when pressed, produce a sound. I’m just seeing if that’s a possible thing to make it slim enough where the phone is still able to fit in a pocket.
I was told to try on here, so if anyone can help with this that would be awesome. Thanks again everyone
It’ll probably be a bit tricky…I’m imagining that it’d become quite bulky, but we have a few things you could pick from:
Then you’ll need to get it powered somehow, I’d suggest maybe throwing a flat lipo in too. Then wire up the buttons to GPIOs/triggers and you’d be all set
Ok, I’ll save up some money and look into it. I feel something could potentially be done (even if it’s maybe a completely “dumb” phone that does nothing but the buttons.
You’ll probably also need the case to hold a speaker, probably its own battery, and possibly a little amplifier, right? Elegant buttons are not so easy. I think those will be the more challenging parts of the project. Which is great, the WAV Trigger makes the hard part easy!
Shaving taller components off the WAV Trigger, particularly the power in and audio out sockets, will leave a card about 2.5 inches (~6.5cm) square and perhaps a few tenths of an inch tall, roughly half a phone case in size. I think it could fit into a large but still reasonably sized aftermarket phone case like a card & currency holder or folding wallet type.
