Hey Sparkfun,
Im building a ninja warrior push button trigger, that plays a finisher sound/music number when pushed.
Ive been having software issues, where I cant disable polyphonics.
Ill make an init file, and the music plaus when I push the button… BUT another push will play the same son on top of the one already playing!
When I try the button on the board, it does not play polyphonics.
Ive already tried deleting the init file, but same problem occurs with or without it.
What on earth could be wrong??
Kind regards from Denmark, EU
Mr. Kim
Hi Mr. Kim,
Polyphony is enabled by default on the WAV Trigger so I would recommend using the [WAV Trigger Application to set up your INI file if you have not already downloaded and installed that. With that application, you can turn off polyphony for your triggers by deselecting the “Polyphonic” checkbox.
If you have already tried that or run into other issues after using the WAV Trigger Application, let me know and we can troubleshoot further.](https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/wav-trigger-hookup-guide-v11?_ga=2.104168962.345020048.1575907713-1122290657.1574871400#operation)
I already created ini file to stop it from doing polyphonics, but it did not do anything.
Then I updated firmware with no new result.
Then new ini file, with no result other than default polyfonics…
Ended up using an MP3 Board instead which was more plug´n play. But thank you for the reply
Would it be possible now or in a future firmware, to assign a trigger to enable/disable polyphony for all the other triggers? Or to allow the audio file names to determine if they allow polyphony or not? Maybe polyphony enabled for the first bank and disabled for the 2nd, so I could assign a trigger to change the trigger bank from 1-16 to 17-20 to enable/disable polyphony.
Thanks for making the board. It’s a little overkill for what I need right now, but it’s working great!
