I have already created a few custom projects using the wearable LED sequins and coin batteries. I am now taking the next step in my learning and I want to create a custom snapback that will twinkle/blink. The problem I am running into is which product is going to be the best fit for this. It must be wearable, it will include (at max) 16 LEDs in parallel (or split into two 6 in parallel), and I would need it to be powered for 4-5 hours. As far as the blink/twinkle goes, I don’t want all of the LED’s to flash on and off at the same time, I want them to twinkle at different intervals. The power also cannot be cumbersome since it will be inside of the hat, and I may have issues with recharging since I will be limited on being able to plug it in for a long period of time.
So, do I stick with the Lilypad LED’s, or go with the LED Micro’s? If I want them to blink/twinkle the way I want, would it be best to go with a board and the Lilypad LED’s? And how exactly do I power them for the time period I need to?
