Hi,
I am using Olimex LPC-E2294 board with crystal oscilliator 14.745 MHz on board, and I also use Rowley’s CrossWorks compiler with its sample(BSP) code.
I realize the sample code enable PLL and set cclk to 58.9824MHz, it is processor clock frequency. If I disable PLL, then cclk = 14.745MHz.
My question is
(1) Why need PLL ? just to get a high clock frequency ? or there are some other reasons ?
Thanks.
Kind regards
Daniel
