Xbee 900 xsc rpsma

First let me say that I have this setup working with the xbee 300 wire antenna modules. My setup

2 xsc rpsma modems

2 of the duck bill antennas

1 USB breakout to connect to the pc

1 serial breakout connects to an arduino mega

All radios are at factory default settings.

I have a simple sketch that takes pc input on serial o, sends it out on serial 3 to the pc running hyper terminal. As I said before this works with the low power modules. The pc receiving gets 1 character (hex 0 - used xctu terminal function to dump the received data in hex).

Do I have the wrong antennas they are sku wrl-00558 and the modems are wry-09087

You have the incorrect antenna. The XBEE 900 works at 900 MHz, while the antenna you have is tuned for 2.4 GHz.

crud… which part number should I order for the right antenna

Something like WRL-09143 should work.

thanks… it might be a good idea to point to the right antenna off of the product page on the web site
