I’ve been noticing in a lot of Eagle schematics that components are being connected remotely (see image if you’re confused by what I mean by this). How is this done? What is it called?
Don’t see an image… But I get what you’re saying.
Draw a short line (wire/net) off the pin and name it something meaningful, like RXD1. Draw another short line off the pin you want it to connect to, name it the same as the first. Eagle will ask you if you want to connect them, hit ok. You will see on the board view that the ratsnest line has been drawn between the pins.
Don’t forget to add a label on the pins in the schematic so you will know what it is!! There’s actually a nice little button on the left that will do this.
