Jetson Nano 4GB (KIT-18486) stuck at NVIDIA logo splash screen

I can’t get the Jetson Nano 4GB (KIT-18486) to go past the NVIDIA logo on boot. The supplied SD card in the kit was not pre-installed with an image, so we had to try different images from SparkFun and NVIDIA’s websites. Followed exact directions to program SD card as mentioned on these websites. Tried different microSD cards, different power adapters (both the microUSB and the barrel jack ones.) Nothing seems to work. Green LED on board is lit, these seems no power on USB ports (caps lock and num lock LED’s on keyboard won’t light up).

NVIDIA splash screen is shown, the board seems to resets itself every 20 seconds.

Any other advice how to trouble shoot ?

How is it being powered? The resetting is making me think there’s a power issue

Hi, thanks for the quick response. We first tried with a 2A/5VDC microUSB PSU, and as we suspected a power issue as well we replaced it with a 4A/5VDC power supply connected to the barrel jack connector (yes, we placed the jumper :-)).

Ok - maybe try re-flashing the SD card (try Jetpack 4.3, then repeat with 4.4 or later…they changed how the bootloader works after 4.3, doing 4.3…which might not yield anything…then a later version will ensure you have an updated bootloader)

Also try swapping SD cards if it’s still giving fits

I have the same problem. I am not getting past the NVIDIA screen. I have tried powering with the 5V 4A brick and through the USB port. I have tried two different SD cards and re-flashed them several times. Here is the log. Kit-16308
