MiRF antenna coupling

hello

just a quick question

the final capacitor before the microstrip antenna is not soldered to the antenna on the MiRFs i recieved, should it be left like that (capacitively coupled?) or should i go on and solder it to the antenna

please help

Hi,

Double check - most units have a very small amount of solder connecting the final capacitor to the PCB antenna. If it is visibly open - my apologies, you should solder the cap to the strip. The QC guys probably passed it because the RF worked but they missed it on the visual inspection.
