MSP430-JTAG-TINY not working with MSP430F5xxx & CCE v3

Hi,

We are using Texas Instruments Code Composer Essentials v3 to develop for a MSP430F5418 cpu which works quiet well.

Currently I’m using a MSP-FETP430IF parallel port programmer which is the only one working with this setup.

I tried to use a Olimex JTAG-Tiny but failed. The output says “MSP430: Error connecting to the target: No MSP430 device was found on USB FET 1”.

The programmer is found, the drivers are up to date and the same setup works with the Olimex Programming software.

Any suggestions what to do?

Did you place copies of the Olimex DLLs (iirc: msp430.dll and hil.dll) in the right directory for CCE?

I put the DLL to C:\Programme\Texas Instruments\CC Essentials v3\DebugServer\drivers.

I also tried new 1.034 driver with same results.

All other programmers work (MSPFet, IAR, Olimex).
