I just want to confirm but the SparkFun GPS NEO_M9N_uFL.brd file is missing the connection from the antenna to the module’s RF_IN pin and for some reason or another and the signal lines for pins 10 and 12 on the module that are going to the antenna connector are coming up as GPS_ANT1, which should be for the actual GPS signal. I just want to make sure this wasn’t intentionally for an unknow reason to me.
It looks like that’s all part of the same circuit to me (u.FL section), which is connected to the u.FL https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/1/a/c/8/4/SparkFun_GPS_NEO_M9N_uFL.pdf
Taking notice to the picture above the blue arrow is pointing to the point I was referring to. As you can see there aren’t any traces connecting the antenna to the GPS module but there is a dashed red line sort of circling the connection points. It does have the signal name GPS_ANT1. Not that I’m saying anything profound, it’s just the first time I’ve encountered that. I was curious if it was for a specific reason other than some type of conversion glitch.
I think this is a 4 layer board and Eagle is only showing you the top and bottom layers. The antenna is probably connected to one of the inner layers that are not displayed.
Yeah, that would be something. I checked all the layers and nothing there, plus the signal is showing on the top layer.
