I have a Postcard, a Compatibility Shield, and the 850 mAH LiPo battery (Lithium Ion Battery - 850mAh - SparkFun Electronics). The battery worked great to power the system. However, the battery does not charge when it is all powered by the USB connector. Is there something that I must do to enable LiPo charging?

Which position is the power switch up top in?
I have the same setup as described.
My battery charges with the top switch in the off position.
When I connect it to USB, the system turns on.
Do the charging LEDs on the SD portability shield light up?
It’s a long shot but try disconnecting the battery then reconnect and see if that gets it charging.
The “long shot” seems to have worked. I unplugged the battery, plugged it back in, and now the yellow CHG LED is brightly lit and I am happy! ! (Why didn’t I think of that?)
