I’m encountering an issue where the RTK Surveyor doesn’t connect to iPhones via Bluetooth. I’ve learned from an earlier post that I need to change the RTK surveyor to Bluetooth LE to see my iPhone, which requires setting up a serial connection between my computer and the RTK surveyor to change the settings. To do this, I need to install a CH340 driver, but it appears to be incompatible with Windows 11 Pro on my computer, and the installation fails. The most recent driver I could find for Windows 11 is CH341SER. Can any provide any insight to this issue?
Hi Kelpfish - Config over serial docs are here. In general, you should not need to install a driver for the RTK Surveyor. If you plug the device it, just check the device manager to see if a COM port shows up. You are correct, the Bluetooth will need to be changed to BLE for iPhone. Note: SW Maps is currently really the only GIS app that works with BLE. There are a limited number of other GIS apps for iOS you can see here.
