Qwiic LIDAR-Lite v4 with DataLogger IoT - 9DoF IMU

Hello,

I was wondering, before purchasing, if you can directly connect and use the Garmin LIDAR-Lite v4 with Qwiic connector (SEN-18009) to the SparkFun DataLogger IoT - 9DoF IMU? Will the DataLogger automatically recognize the LIDAR and start recording the data?

Sadly, no. It’s not on the list of supported devices.

The driver looked easy to add so I threw AI at it this afternoon created it. The results look pretty good. I need to get a sensor and test it, but if it works, we’ll add it to the datalogger firmware later this week and push out a release!

The firmware needs to be loaded via an SD card.
