I’ve been able to access the Wifi-based system configuration with my new RTK Express Kit, but I’m having trouble setting up the Bluetooth connectivity. Once powered on, the device does not begin broadcasting via Bluetooth in either Base or Rover modes. When scanning for Bluetooth devices with my phone, it cannot find Express Rover-#### or Express Base-####.
Is there a specific system configuration that enables the Bluetooth connectivity?
Also, what are the other two modes - Mark and Bubble?
The installed firmware is RTK Express v1.8 (October 2021) and I’m attempting to connect with an iPhone 12 via Bluetooth 5.0. The display icons aren’t the same as those in the RTK Express Hookup Guide for Rover mode, and icons indicating an RTK Fix, Base Transmit, and Logging have not (yet) appeared.
Thanks for your help - sorry if this is long-winded!
Hi, are you following this hook-up guide meticulously?

Yes - I followed the directions meticulously.
Once I attempted with an Android device (instead of an iPhone), the device could be found and the Bluetooth was able to establish a connection. This limitation wasn’t indicated in the Hookup Guide; I went ahead and bought an Android tablet to accommodate the connectivity issue.
Regardless, the NTRIP never provided real-time corrections to increase my precision; I tried both rtk2go and Emlid services, with no success. Thinking it was a firmware issue, I cloned the firmware repo and installed the latest version (RTK_Surveyor_Firmware_v1_12.bin) via the command line interface method. See confirmation screenshot attachment…
After install, the device won’t power on. Do you have any ideas what to do next?
