RTK Express Freezes at (Wifi) Config Menu

Hello,

I’m having some issues with the RTK Express Kit, and posting here in case I am missed an obvious step. I’ve search the forum and couldn’t find a similar issue.

I’ve done the bluetooth based position streaming to SW Maps app, and that works fine. I can see the position dot moving on the map as I move the antenna around. However, trying to configure the wifi setting by selecting the Config option via the Setup button, hangs the RTK Express unit. The webpage (192.168.4.1) does show up in the browser, however nothing you do there gets saved and the webpage will always show the same (original) settings again on refresh. I have tried reboots of the device but that doesn’t change anything either. The message on the page when saving is “Success: Saving …”, but that never changes to anything like “done”.

Context/What-i’m-tyring-to-do:

I need to used the unit for using online NTRIP corrections to output 2 cm precise positions via TCP port. But the hanging/frozen unit at the Config stage prevents all that. I want to mount the unit on an ATV/Tractor and stream real-time high accuracy (2 cm) positions to a custom app. I suspect I might also have got the wrong antenna for my application, but that is a different topic.

Hope someone here can help with the issue I"m facing.

Welcome Sean! What version of firmware is the device reporting? For configuration, if the web page is giving you problems, consider config over Bluetooth. It’s fairly robust and pretty handy in the field since you don’t need to enter the specific ‘config’ menu.

Thanks for the response @sparky , I am using 4.4 firmware. The config over bluetooth did the trick! I was able to configure the NTRIP settings and get a fix. It indeed seems handy for the field work and it will be my go to method. :slightly_smiling_face:
