Have a brand new rtk torch, recieved it couple days ago. the wifi ap is not comming on at all. Ive read the intstructions on power up then 2 short presses, Etc etc. It does not come on. Anybody with any ideas? It does work and were using it with carlson surv pc. With ntrip corrections.. elevation is not food enough to use. Read the antenna hight defaults to 1.8m.. ? Read it needs to be set in the ap to be accurate? We are setting it in carlson but.. need to find out why we cant get access to the ap.
Here’s what I do:
Power up the Torch and wait 10-15 seconds.
Double press the power button to enter WiFi Mode. You should hear a double “beep”.
You should then see RTK Config as an available WiFi network from a computer or smartphone. Connect to that network.
Then in a browser, navigate to rtk.local
Yeah as i said ive tried that too many times to count… different timing (within a second) etc etc never get a double beep and no wifi ap…
Definitely connect USB port to PC serial terminal window to see what system is saying Torch does output messages
Set to 115krate
Hope this helps
well i appreciate the info, but in connectingvia tera term, , serial com A i get no output at all, serial B i get the expected output, imu gnss status etc, then double click the torch power button and iget DRVWIFI: connect to the AP fail, NC: wait gps… my understanding is im supposed to be able to hit any key at that point and get to the config menu … it does not… hard reset by holding the power butting 10 seconds does nothing either way not from power on nor power off…
Correct.
