I was able to get my wav trigger boards to play sounds today and in the process my goal was to try to understand the behavior of trigger settings but have a few more questions.
If i power the board from a 6 volt reducer in the car and connect one side of a door pin switch to the trigger hole on one of the channels will the other wire from the switch (connected to body ground in the car) complete the circuit to play the sound (assuming this is the case if the ground side which is powering the board is getting its ground from the car body?
For example:
wire from switch to ground on car body → switch → wire from switch to trigger on wav trigger
Questions on Robertsonics apps
on the applications i guess i need some clarification on what they are supposed to be doing.
WTConfig - i am changing settinsg for the trigger on a channel and i see the changes made in the box below however pressing the test button appears to do nothing and when i trigger the channel via the onboard ground to trigger changes are not recognized. Assuming operator error , just not sure what it is.
i have tried WTConfig, WT-Initmaker, WT-Remote. Any info someone can provide would be helpful.
Thanks
I should note - ultimately what i would like this wavtrigger to do is be able to - play a sound when a connection to ground is made in the car. I could see the following trigger scenarios in the car:
-
intermittent ground triggers a sound
-
a held ground triggers a sound
Could see instances of wanting to play a sound:
-
once on either type of ground
-
loop on either type of ground and of course have polyphony.
Would also be great if one trigger could interrupt another (latch?)
