What does this error mean?

My design failed, but I can’t tell why. My only guess is that this has something to do with it:

I’m sorry I don’t have an answer for you because I get the same thing. I’m guessing we have some spaces less than .006 which is 6mills. I made my board with Eagle and it passes DRC with 8mil limits.

Yep, there were some gaps too small. I figured this out by inspection–just looking for small spaces. I had a logo that I wanted etched into the bottom layer. Some of the elements were isolated by very small spaces. I think the Eagle DRC didn’t complain because it was all the same signal, so bridging wouldn’t matter. The logo was a creative commons (CC). I just ditched it and then my board passed.

Thanks “kwknowles” for your help. I too was getting two of these “space fail” errors and did not know what it meant. After reading your post, I looked at my design and sure enough found one pad / track space that was only 0.004. I corrected it and the board passed DRC.
