The title is a bit misleading, but I can’t think of a more concise way to put it, so let me just start describing what I’m trying to do…
In a lot of schematics, I’ll see a signal pin that terminates in a connection symbol that often looks kind of a like a VCC symbol with a double-arrow (“>>”), but is labeled with the name of the signal. For example, let’s say “A0”. Then on another section or page in the schematic, there might be another signal named “A0” again terminated in one of these funny >> or << symbols.
I figure I can probably connect disjointed nets together by giving them the same name, but this funny >> or << symbol, where do I find that? and am I lucky enough that this symbol would automatically set its name to the name of the net that it’s connected to?
In some schematics, the >> symbol kind of looks like a box with a point side, like |==> (well, not really, but that’s as close as I can get with ASCII).
Thanks,
Scott
EDIT: It never fails… after spending an hour trying to figure out someone, I post the question, and then 30 seconds later figure it out on my own. The box with a pointy side can be generated by using the label button and then in the toolbar there’s a spot to change the label format. Still haven’t figured out how to do the custom >> and << symbols though.
