Ok, so after the upgrade, I had to go and put in all the settings.
E6 Corrections are enabled, so had to turn those off
Point Perfect corrections are turned off so I had to Enable those
And there was a new setting I don’t recall from before for PointPerfect Corrections
You need to select the (1) Select PointPerfect Service:
Choices are
1- Disabled
2- Flex NTRIP/RTCM
6- Flex MQTT (Deprecated)
x - Exit
Well if I pick (2) - it fails and Wifi dies… how interesting is that
if I pick (6) after several minutes the WiFi works and I get a PointPerfect Key
Localized distribution tile level: 5 (250 x 250km high density)
c) Clear the Keys
i) Show device ID
k) Manual Key Entry
g) Geographic Region: US
x) Exit
And it takes about 1 minute 12 seconds from power on, before the Torch joins the WiFi network using Firmware 2.2 once the settings for PointPerfect are corrected. I will try some other combinations under alternative profiles to see if WiFi connectivity is a problem. e.g. PointPerfect off, and E6 Corrections On.
Hi @ChrisO - Let us know if you’re still having issues. You can always revert if something is not working as good as it was. In v2.2, the Torch won’t connect to WiFi until there is a ‘consumer’, something that needs WiFi. If PointPerfect MQTT (Deprecated) is enabled, and a WiFi network’s credentials are entered, this should spin up WiFi and connect. During my rough test, this took ~28 seconds from power on, to successful WiFi connection. If you’re seeing something wonky, please let us know.
So far working fine, the boot up to get an IP was 1 minute 12 seconds though, not even close to your 28 seconds. Hopefully 2.2 does better with PointPerfect in finding and keeping RTK Fix on my farm.
