Unable to get a COM Port when plugging in RedBoard Turbo in USB Port

I having issues getting my RedBoard Turbo to work with Arduino. When the RedBoard Turbo is plugged into the USB port no COM port is assigned, I do get an entry in the device manager as follows

Other Devices

Sparkfun RedBoard Turbo

Sparkfun RedBoard Turbo

Both entries have yellow warning icons next to them

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

No com port assigned.

Using Windows 7 64 Bit

Arduino IDE 1.8.8

I have both of the following board definitions loaded

Arduino SAMD Boards (32-Bits ARM Cortex-M0+) 1.6.20

Sparkfun SAMD Boards 1.5.4

I can select the board from the list, but no com ports show up to select from the Port list

Any suggestions as what to do.

Thanks Steven

Hi Steven,

This is a known issue with Windows 7 and several of our SAMD21-based boards. We are currently working on getting drivers tested and certified for Windows 7 but do not have a good estimate on when that will be complete. Last I heard we were close to finishing them so I would expect them to be complete within a month but that is subject to change. If you wish to return the board because of this issue, please PM me with your order details (e-mail, invoice #, etc.) and we can get an RMA ticket set up for your order.

Does it have an issue with Win 10,I also use it, and I can try it out on it tonight.

No driver issue for me on Windows 10.

There is no driver issue for Windows 10 or Mac OS X. The RedBoard Turbo should work just fine on those operating systems.
